Safety is of the utmost importance and only the strictest hygiene and sterilisation standards are followed. Vacuum packed ‘single use’ cartridges and microblades are used.
This varies with every client. Colour can last up to 3 years dependent on factors such as age, skin type, colour choice and lifestyle. The colour will gradually begin to fade over time, and it is suggested that clients who wish to maintain the colour intensity of the enhancement to return every 12 – 18 months for a ‘top-up’ treatment. This treatment will not be as lengthy as the initial procedure therefore the price will reflect this. Sun block can be used to prevent exposure to UV rays which may help increase the life span of the colour.
This varies according to which procedure is being carried out. You should allow at least 2 hours for the initial procedure.
Yes. During initial consultation we apply a small amount of pigment behind the ear, this would have to take place at least 24 hours prior to a treatment. Reactions are extremely rare and almost never occur but should you feel concerned and apprehensive, you can discuss this during your initial enquiry.
Every client has a different comfort level so the sensation is variable. This is also dependent on the procedure performed. Some clients feel very little but conversely others do feel some discomfort in the form of a scratchy/prickly sensation. To minimise discomfort cream anaesthetics are recommended, which you ideally want to apply at least 1 hour before you arrive to your appointment. All of this will be discussed in more detail during consultation.
The initial treatment will not give you the entire desired result. The pigment is placed under the skin into the dermal layer, over a period of approximately 8 days it will migrate down into the epidermis and thus fade slightly. A layer of skin will heal over. On the second procedure when the pigment is once again placed into the dermal layer it will stay there and give you your final desired result.
It is deemed best to err on the side of caution with both colour and volume. You can always add but you can never take away. Less is Best. On the second visit you can always go darker or thicker and it is at this stage that the shape and procedure is complete.
Immediately after and for the first few days the colour will intensify and will appear darker, but will subsequently lighten and become softer by around 50%. There will be a mild redness, and swelling may be apparent for the first couple of days, however, normal activity can be resumed immediately following the procedure. You must avoid getting your new brows wet during the healing process, which is approximately 7-10 days. Full aftercare advice will be given at the end of your first treatment.
Yes. Semi permanent cosmetics are designed to be an enhancement of your natural features, but once the procedure area has healed you can always add conventional make up for extra definition. However, it is advised not to cover your brows with foundation, as over time this can effect the colour of the pigment.
After. Botox affects the muscles and the skin in the area and thus changes facial features, so if you get your brows done and then get your skin tightened, your brows could move from their natural position and the final shape of the arches could look off. Having your brow shape modified first allows the doctor injecting you with Botox to correctly assess where injections should go. You should not have any Botox 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after your microblading procedure.
Yes, but you must inform the specialist that you have had micro pigmentation and insist that they avoid the treated areas. If a laser were to be applied on the treated area it would alter the colour.
